Need to change Property Managers? It’s easier than you think.

Making the move to Now Leasing NT, it’s easier than you think.

 

Landlords often believe that changing agents is time-consuming and stressful. In many circumstances, it can be simple and may not cost you anything.

Here are some tips when deciding it’s time to change agencies

  1. Check for any termination costs

You will need to check your current Management agreement. In some instances, you might need to pay a fee to shift your property to a new agent. If you do, talk to NOW Leasing NT as we might be able to find a solution.

  1. Put your notice in writing

All termination notices need to be in writing. NOW Leasing NT will provide you with a property management transfer letter to make it easier.

  1. Give the required notice

The majority of agreements require 30 days to terminate management. Giving the required notice, it assists in providing a smooth transfer. NOW Leasing NT will calculate the dates for handover to occur when sending your signed transfer letter.

  1. This is your investment

If you have experienced poor service or feel your property hasn’t been properly looked after, it can be hard to keep emotion out of it. At the end of the day, this is your investment, and you need to do what is best for your circumstances- it's best not to make it personal.

 

NOW Leasing NT takes care of everything once you have signed a new Management agreement with us and signed the transfer of management letter.

If your property is rented, we will collect the documentation on the day of hand over such as the lease, condition report, keys, and a bond transfer form will be sent to the tenant.

NOW Leasing NT will contact your tenant and advise them of the change of agencies and how to pay their rent moving forward.
