COVID-19 Owner Update #1 - 17/03/2020
Unfortunately the spread of COVID-19 means we have to take steps to prepare for any period in an unprecedented time of quarantine, possible and inevitable school closures or complete shutdown in the future. As many of you will know and appreciate, a number of our staff have families and children at school so we must also consider how we will continue to operate to the best of our ability if staff cannot come to the office to work.
We want to assure you that we have taken steps to ensure we can operate during such a time.
There are some things to consider:
Routine inspections and viewing appointments can and will still be carried out at this stage and we will continue to do so whilst practising good hygiene and social distancing. This task is being monitored as things are progressing and we will advise if your scheduled routine inspection is delayed or postponed in the near future.
Viewings for leasing of vacant or upcoming vacant property can still be carried out at the moment and we are practising careful hygiene and social distancing. We already offer and will continue to offer Facetime walkthroughs as a precaution.
We will also take steps to ensure repairs / contractor attendance can still be undertaken with caution and will keep you updated if there are any changes to this in the future.
In the event there is a call for school closures or business shut down, it is likely we will start to see people’s incomes affected and therefore rent payments may become affected. Whilst our team can work from home if or when required, there are many others in all types of industry who will not be able to continue to earn an income in these trying times. We would urge you to be aware and give this some consideration should you be impacted by this in the future.
We will be sure to keep you updated as things evolve and assure you we are doing all we can to ensure the continuity of business as usual for now and for as long as possible.
