COVID-19 Owner Update #2 - 24/03/2020
As you all know the COVID 19 crisis has meant some very significant changes in the past 72 hours and with the borders closing to the Northern Territory at 4pm today in an effort to slow the rate of new cases and to shelter our local economy. We commend this decision and are thankful that we potentially can remain the least affected State or Territory.
With things moving so rapidly and evolving each day, we are constantly considering what we need to think of next to ensure the safety and well being of our team, our clients and tenants and contractors and of course the broader community to stop the spread and minimise the impact in all aspects.
We have made the decision to cancel all physical attendance for routine inspections indefinitely (until this crisis passes and we are all safe once again) however, we will be asking tenants to work with us to provide a possible solution that’s suitable so that we can continue to keep an eye on your property.
We can offer a Facetime or Messenger walk through done with the tenant or a ZOOM recorded walk through so we can send this to you and report maintenance whether urgent or otherwise. It is still very important to be aware of such maintenance so we can plan and of course prioritise what must be done.
At this stage all property maintenance will still be arranged as long as tenants are happy for us to send the contractors in and always administering strict hygiene practices and safe social distancing as required by the authorities.
We will be keeping you informed as to the changes that are imminent with regard to the team working from home or on rotation once the schools close. This will mean some varied hours for some of the team as they will be caring for their families as well as juggling work. We ask everyone for their patience during what will be a very challenging period for all of us.
Thank you all for your assistance and support during what is a very distressing time for everyone. I’ve had some really beautiful emails from clients and I know everyone is at heightened levels of worry and emotional stress for varying reasons. Please be assured we are taking steps to ensure we keep things as stable as possible in your property and importantly for your tenant as well.
Please everyone stay safe out there and please do not hesitate to let your property manager know if you have any concerns or need to discuss anything at all about your property or tenancy.
