Before going into Real Estate, what were you doing? Studying Psychology at University.
How long have you been in Real Estate? Since 2006 – started in Geelong Vic with a 12month traineeship before moving home to NT in 2007.
What is the most unique thing that has happen to you in Property Management? Best I have is the time we had baby snakes raining out of the gaps in a property eaves after the mumma snake crawled into the roof and had her babies! So so many little baby snakes falling from the ceiling on the back verandah was certainly a different one to have to deal with!
What sets Now Leasing NT apart from others? Its sounds cliché but our personal touch is still the cornerstone of our business, that and the unique position of having 2 hands on business owners in such a small business helps create a great personal approach our clients.
What made you take the leap into becoming a part owner in a Real Estate business? When we opened NOW Leasing NT, I was only 31 so the chance to progress my career past just being a Property Manager was certainly an appealing one. I have been able to learn so much more in the past 5.5 years that I would have had the chance to at any other office in town.
What advice would you give anyone wanting a career in Property Management? Being aware of what it is that your signing up for. Property Management can be very difficult as we play middleman for most disputes but also very rewarding & we get to build some great long term relationships with owners and tenants and be a valued & trusted part of their investment.
Most important question of the day, how do you like your eggs? Scrambled, definitely scrambled! 😉
